Junior Web Designer and Content Specialist

Ysabel Mano

I’m Jamie Ysabel Mano, a junior web designer, content specialist, and fresh graduate of the Computer Science Diploma program at Vancouver Island University. When I moved to Canada as an international student, I knew I wanted to pursue something that blended both creativity and technology.

That’s what led me to explore. I started volunteering, first as a graphic designer and then as a web administrator. These experiences were more than résumé builders; they were stepping stones that helped me figure out what I love: designing with purpose and helping people share their work in a meaningful way.

Outside of work, I’m still kind of a student, constantly learning new things, diving into courses, and watching way too many documentary films. I love a good story, whether it’s told through film, design, or a perfect cup of coffee (which I take very seriously). When I’m not studying or building something, I’m probably snacking, doodling, or pretending I’m not procrastinating my next side project.
